Full-time SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job description
BEFCO is currently hiring a sales representative to assist the sales department in locating new sales opportunities, visit existing dealers and attract new clients.
sales representatives are responsible for cold-calling, order entry, answering sales calls both from dealers and retail customers, answering technical questions about farm equipment, troubleshooting issues with equipment and shipments. It is the sales representative’s job to assist the company with trade shows, building mailing lists and making mass mailings.
Obtaining orders is the primary objective, however the sales representative needs to offer added value to the dealer by being able to troubleshoot issues with the equipment that a customer may be having. Sales representatives are also responsible for facilitating all aspects of the relationship between the company and its customers.
The Sales representative will occasionally be required to travel the national shows that the company participates to, help load/unload equipment, help set-up, work the show and tear down the booth before and after each show.
When not traveling, the sales representative will be responsible to come to the office answer technical and sales related phone calls, assist with other tasks and prepare for the next trip.
Qualifications
- Ability to negotiate and close the sale
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience travelling the territory
- Strong technical and mechanical knowledge to help trobleshoot failures and assist customers over the phone and face to face
- Good knowledge of computers and Microsoft® Office® software (especially Excel)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
