Full-time FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job description
BEFCO is currently hiring a field sales representative to assist the sales department in locating new sales opportunities, visit existing dealers and attract new clients.
Field sales representatives are responsible for traveling the territory to set up new dealers in areas that are not covered and visit existing dealers. An outside sales representative is knowledgeable in explaining the equipment to dealers and their sales staff and is capable of highlighting the benefits of their product versus the competition.
Obtaining orders is the primary objective, however the sales representative needs to offer added value to the dealer by being able to troubleshoot issues with the equipment that a customer may be having. Territory managers are also responsible for facilitating all aspects of the relationship between the company and its customers. The field sales representative will also be responsible to complete reports of their visits to share with the company the progress they are making and any challenges they are running into.
The field sales representative is responsible for traveling all the national shows that the company participates to, help load/unload equipment, help set-up, work the show and tear down the booth before and after each show.
When not traveling the outside sales representative will be responsible to come to the office and prepare for the next trip, answer technical and sales related phone calls and assist with other tasks.
Qualifications
- Ability to negotiate and close the sale
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience travelling the territory
- Strong technical and mechanical knowledge to help trobleshoot failures and assist customers over the phone and face to face
- Good knowledge of computers and Microsoft® Office® software (especially Excel)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
