PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
Job description
BEFCO is currently hiring a payroll administrator oversee and maintain employee records, original documents and reports,ย manage employee profile changes including, but not limited to: promotions, demotions, wage changes, job changes, terminations.
Payroll administrators are responsible for tracking hours worked and ensuring that employees are accurately paid for their time. They are also responsible for calculating, deducting and processing taxes and social security withholdings, as well as other company-offered benefits.
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain employee data with strict confidentiality
- Process payroll, payroll audits and all employee profile changes including, but not limited to: promotions, demotions, wage changes, job changes, terminations, and new hires
- Assists with processing, accuracy and distribution of payroll
- General knowledge of payroll labor laws
- Provide information and answering employee questions about payroll related matters
- Ability to complete various reports such as, but not limited to BLS and multiple worksite reports
- Positive, professional, and accurate written and verbal communication with employees and management at all levels
- Ability to perform various tasks and projects as needed within the HR and payroll department such as, but not limited to, verification of employment, wage garnishments and internal self-audits
- Assist new hires with onboarding
- Maintain and audit Driver Training records and update excel spreadsheet (both in how it relates to payroll and their final day certification)
- Strong numeracy skills and have advanced computer skills
- Excellent knowledge of computers and Microsoftยฎ Officeยฎ software (especially Excel)
- Experience with crystal reports and SAP is a plus
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Work schedule
Weekdays 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (1 hour lunch).
Employee must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when needed.
